Killer Shorts at Chicago Comic Con

The Killer Shorts Sudden Death Film Competition at Chicago Comic Con (2 p.m., Room A), presented by the New York City Horror Film Festival in which fans pick the winning films.

Have your short genre film receive a guaranteed screening slot at one of six of the largest genre conventions in America! Entering this unique film competition gives all participants something no other festival can offer…..a guaranteed screening slot! The New York City Horror Film Festival and FEARSmag have partnered with Wizard World Conventions nationwide and we are bringing the show on the road…here’s how it works:

Simply go to the festival’s “submissions” page, pick your city, and then submit your films. That’s it!

Screen in: Anaheim, Boston, New Jersey, Chicago, New York, or Philadelphia

Screening slots are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis. If the city you requested is already filled, filmmakers will be given the option of the next available city or a full refund and materials returned. Films must be 15 minuets or less!!! (We will check running times)

Winners are picked by audience choice ballot in each city with one overall winner at each convention. All five winning films will receive a screening slot during the 2010 New York City Horror Film Festival and a prize pack courtesy of Wizard World.

Films submitted to “The Killer Shorts Sudden Death Film Competition” are not submitted to The 2010 New York City Horror Film Festival. Filmmakers are encouraged to do so through the festival’s regular submission process.

All films must be submitted on DVD (ntsc only!)

Accepting submissions now through Oct. 1st. Each city has it’s own deadline (see forms) Good Luck!
