Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption to have Michigan premiere at Ionia Horror Film Fest

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Sept. 2       The Michigan-produced independent horror film Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption will make its Michigan premiere at the “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre” horror film festival at the Ionia Theater in Ionia, Mich. on February 5.

The film is based on a post-apocalyptic setting where zombies outnumber the surviving humans 10,000 to one, but infighting between the survivors in the wasteland may bring an end to humanity.

The film stars Hollywood B-movie legend Fred “The Hammer” Williamson, who previously appeared in From Dusk Till Dawn and 1990: The Bronx Warriors.

“We want to help out Michigan film makers as much as we can,” said event coordinator Mark Hodges, “and doing premieres is a great way to help these film makers have a legitimate premiere in a large theater on a large screen with a full audience. I just wish that we could do this for more films.”

Tickets to Zombie Apocalypse: Redemption and the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre Horror Film Fest are available by calling the Ionia Theater box office at 616-527-3860.

Tickets will go on sale in December. More information can be found at www.phoenixev.net.
