New Online Horror Series: Legends Of Urban Horror

The newest online horror anthology launches February 1st. DeadFi Productions, which is run by Owen Mulligan and Jay Vos, is set to launch a series of short horror episodes based off of famous urban legends called Legends of Urban Horror. The season is going to consist of five episodes, with the first being released on February 1, 2011. Each episode will last three to five minutes, and can be bought from the official website for $0.39 and streamed for free online. It has not been announced how often the episodes will be released.

The first episode, To Die For, is the story of a man who watches a snuff film and releases an evil curse. It will star new actors Jeff Hatin, Giovanna Contini, Zak Frederick, and Matt Sutkosi.

DeadFi Productions has released two short films, Midnight Roadkill in 2009 and The Smog in 2010. Each short film has received several thousand views on Youtube, and they have been screened in The Vermont Horror Film Festival and The Killer Film Fest in Mass. For being self proclaimed “works of microbudget,” everything I’ve seen by DeadFi Productions is really professional. Midnight Roadkill looks like it could be a scene from a real independent feature. The website for Legends of Urban Horror also looks well done.

I look forward to see what they bring to the table on the 1st of February.
