Blood Lodge Filming This March

Graffiti Playhouse Pictures and Vincent Orosz are hard at work gathering funds for their latest horror flick, Blood Lodge. They’ve really engaged fans while seeking financial support from the horror community, even going as far as offering the best looking zombie a role in the film and the best song by a band a chance to be on the soundtrack. It seems that they are on track with preproduction and that filming of Blood Lodge will take place in Vermont in March of this year. That’s probably going to be some culture shock when traveling from the New Jersey headquarters to the 10 Acres Lodge in Vermont.

The synopsis, provided by the Blood Lodge official facebook, reads: In the small town of Ten Acres, a group of friends take a weekend ski trip. During their trip, they find that the town is being attacked by zombies! The group unites with other guests staying at the Ten Acres Lodge in VT.”

Interesting! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a zombie film set in a ski lodge. Will there be snow? Also, despite being an independent horror film, Blood Lodge does have some recognizable cast to its credit – Jasmin St. Claire (former adult film star), Vincent Pastore (of Sopranos fame), and Chuck Zito (Hollywood stunt man, and Oz). Another actress appearing in this, from across the pond, or…well…river from me is Julie-Ann Hamolko. According to an article about her in The Coast Star, she has starred in 9 independent horror films and is really good at special effects make up.

Can’t wait to check this out!
