The new reality/competition show called Face Off will premier tonight on Syfy at 10:00PM. Face Off will feature special effects make up artists competing for a cash prize, major industry effects equipment, as well as a “career launching” opportunity. Face Off promises to have a lot of scifi and horror challenges, one event even being to create your own horror movie villain. The panel of judges who will critic and eliminate the competitors are Ve Neil (Pirates of the Carribean, Edward Scissor Hands), Glen Hetrick (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The X Files), and Patrick Tatopoulus (Underworld, Resident Evil: Extinction). Hosting Face Off will be make up and acting veteran McKenzie Westmore. 10 out of the 12 contestants are credited for having advanced knowledge in horror special effects make up.
