Robert Kurtzman’s Creature Corps is prepping for the Spring Launch of our 2011 Haunted Attraction and Costume Line and to make room, we’re cleaning out the archives and gallery.
The first items up for auction on the Creature Corps Surplus Store at Ebay are some original fine art drawings by Robert Kurtzman. These exceptionally rare one-of-a-kind pieces feature original concepts for characters and creatures seen in ARMY OF DARKNESS, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, DARKMAN, TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, GRAVEYARD SHIFT, and more. In other Creature Corps News, one of our 2010 projects was providing the Special Makeup Effects for Director Lucky McKee’s latest film, THE WOMAN. The film recently made it’s debut at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, at which a controversy was created due to a viral video that has been making the ’rounds featuring one very angry moviegoer. We consider this a sign of a “mission accomplished.” View the video here:

Finally, after taking a few weeks off during Christmas and New Years, our weekly webseries has returned. Robert Kurtzman’s Creature Corps takes viewers inside the world of filmmaking and special FX creation with new episodes every Friday. Our 19th Installment made it’s debut last week, and features a look at the Mansfield Art Center’s “The Art of Special Effects” exhibit, which showcased the work of Precinct 13 Entertainment and the entire Creature Corps staff in a gallery/museum setting.
