According to IMDB and Wikipedia, but not officially confirmed or denied by any major outlets, Aubrey O’Day has been cast as a main character in Piranha 3DD. Piranha 3DD is the sequel, due out sometime this year, to last year’s mega hit about prehistoric man-eating fish being unleashed into waters by an earthquake just in time for Spring Break. It was widely successful, so of course a sequel was warranted. You may remember Aubrey O’Day from MTV’s “Making The Band 3,” where she was chosen to become one of the members of Danity Kane. Danity Kane had two #1 and platinum selling albums before Diddy disbanded them. Since then O’Day has appeared on Broadway, the cover of Playboy, a film, other MTV shows, and a burlesque show in Vegas called Peepshow. Aubrey also has a reality show coming out on the Oxygen network this year following her return to the music industry as a solo artist.
Honestly, I think this could be a great fit. As a reality television junky (I know, I’m sorry), I’ve seen most of Aubrey’s appearances on television. I even saw her movie, American High School, as well as her Playboy. With her appearance, personality, and abilities as a performer in mind – I think this could be a good casting choice, if it turns out to be true. I could totally picture Aubrey in a bikini on the beach, barely surviving the first swarm, but helping the other survivors fight back in a comedic role. Actually, I could picture Aubrey kicking some frankenfish ass with some guns while looking hooooot. (I’m a sucker for attractive women who can kick some ass.)
