Looks like Tiffany has another (horror) hit on her hands! The January 29, 2011 SyFy network premier of Mega Python vs Gateroid was watched by over 2,350,000 viewers! Wow, that’s a lot for SyFy chanel! The movie will be re-running this Thursday, so make sure you check your local listings.
Mega Python vs Gateroid follows a park ranger (Tiffany) who is trying to save the alligators in the Everglades from giant snakes released into the wild by an animal rights activist (Debbie Gibson). In doing so, the alligators also become freakishly large. As both reptiles grow larger and start attacking the city, it is up to the two women to team up and save the day.
This is not the first time these two women crossed paths with giant vertebrates. Debbie Gibson starred in Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus in 2009, which averaged 2,000,000 viewers. Tiffany starred in Mega Piranha in 2010, which was the highest rated SyFy movie of the year with over 2,200,000 viewers. Needless to say, Mega Python vs Gateroid really ate the competition whole on this one.
i loved this flick! it deserved twice the numbers it got: fun, thrilling, campy, frightening and creatur-ific! the asylum does it again!
