Another 3D movie? *sigh* Well, according to the official website for the Sleepaway Camp franchise, the final Sleepaway Camp film is on its way and will be presented to you in 3D. Apparently, a distribution agreement has already been reached with Magnolia Pictures for DVD and a limited theatre release. The new film will be called Sleepaway Camp: Reunion 3D. As it is in the beginning stages of development, the short synopsis provided reads: “Following the events of Return to Sleepaway Camp, Sleepaway Camp Reunion focuses on the long-awaited return of Aunt-Martha and Ricky and Angela Baker, to bring the final chapter and ending to the Sleepaway Camp Franchise.”
Robert Hiltziik will return to direct the ‘last’ film in the series. The budget is set at $2,300,000, which will probably keep it up to par with the last film, Return to Sleepaway Camp. There hasn’t been an official announcement regarding cast yet, but the rumored cast list is as followed: Felissa Rose, David Henry (the brother from Wizards of Waverly Place), Mercedes McNab (Harmony on Buffy & Angel), Drake Bell (Drake & Josh), Jonathan Tiersten, Alexa Nikolas (Zoey 101), Danielle Harris (Halloween franchise), Crystal Lowe (Wrong Turn 2), Amber Borycki (Harper’s Island), Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls), and Tammin Sursok (Hannah Montana). I’ll just say this….PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET THIS CAST LIST BE FALSE! Remember, everyone, anyone can alter wikipedia and IMDB. So, obviously, I would take this with a grain of salt. Even though I would love to see Mercedes McNab, Crystal Lowe, and Danielle Harris join the franchise.

This is all very confusing. Didn’t a producer say in an interview some time ago that the next film will be called Bizurk? Whether it’s a 3D film, another sequel, or a film with a crappy cast list…a new Sleepaway Camp is on its way.

And Thank God nothing has came of it(considering how God awful RETURN TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP was :P :P ). And just whatever became of SLEEPAWAY CAMP 4:THE RETURN(which was filmed,but shelved),anyway ?
