There seems to be a strange trend lately of pitting strippers against the forces of evil. We will see a new slasher film titled Crossbearer at the end of 2011, which will have a serial killer wielding a hammer targeting strippers. Even way back in 2008 we saw films like Zombie Strippers and Strippers VS Zombies. Now, the UK is jumping in on this concept. Black & Blue Films is beginning to work on a new horror-comedy called Strippers VS Werewolves. Horror actresses Barbara Nedeljakova (Hostel I & II), Adele Silva (Doghouse), and Sarah Douglas (Return of The Living Dead III) have all signed on to appear in Strippers VS Werewolves.
Although it is currently in preproduction, director Jonathan Glendening has been brought aboard to direct this horror-comedy mixing werewolves with strippers. Here is a brief synopsis of the film, which I’m using from their official facebook page: “When werewolf chief Jack Ferris is accidentally killed in a strip club the girls who work there have until the next full moon before his bloodthirsty wolf pack seek murderous retribution…” Filming is expected to begin in May of 2011. Hopefully that means we’ll be able to see it by the end of the year?
What do you guys think? Excited? How well do you think strippers will fend against werewolves?
