Blade forms an uneasy alliance with the vampire council in order to combat the Reaper vampires who feed on vampires.
“Forget what you think you know. Vampires exist.”
Blade is back and he’s still hunting vampires. However this time, he’s also hunting his mentor, Whistler.
After finding and rescuing Whistler, Blade is approached by the vampire counci. They want a truce and need his help as well.
Something is hunting the vampires and it’s not Blade. It’s a mutation of vampires. It’s a vampire that feeds not only on humans but other vampires as well. But once a vampire is bitten and becomes infected, they turn into a Reaper rather than dying.
Reapers are vicious animals with no morals, and have a thirst that exceeds that of the vamprie. It’s one that is constance and daily.
The new vampire mercenary group teams up with Blade and their first stop is the House of Pain – a vampire safe house. The initial battle between reapers and vampires is drawn with loses on both sides, and it’s an all out war between the vampires and mutated reapers and blade.
There’s a lot of high flying kicks, fast speedy punches and lots of sword play that makes up this second installment of Blade, and that’s not all that much different than the first.
I wish I could say that I ended this week of horror comics turned into movies with a bang, but I just can’t do that. Blade II is dull, predictable, boring and flat. I’m sure there’s lot more I could say about this movie, but when it’s bad…it’s bad. Blade II is bad. Don’t waste your time.
I give Blade 1 out of 5 bloody stumps up just because it was a horror comic turned into a movie. Everything els is like stabbing a vampire in the heart with a wooden stake…dust in the wind, and that’s where it needs to stay.
