Some Halloween 3D Info

[insert sad face]

After Rob Zombie got his dirty, white-trashy hands on the franchise, I feel like he’s just brought it down to the point of no return. I mean, come on, did Halloween II make any sense? I guess the films can be tolerable if you look at them as a separate series all together, a “what if” envisionment. Still, I would rather people move on and leave the franchise alone, unless John Carpenter came back with a great Halloween 9 script. Whatever happened to that? I remember there was a contest for someone to receive a walk-on role in Halloween 9, but then that film never happened and we were stuck with the Halloween remake.

Anyway, information is slowly starting to trickle in on the third, new Halloween film. Sadly, it will be shot in 3D, which I’m sure we’re all frickin tired of already. But Halloween 3 HAS to be in 3D, right? I wonder how much doing a film in 3D costs, seeing how the budget is estimated to be $23,000,000. The script is completed, and was written in only 8 days. Really, 8 days? Well, at least the plot will be up to par with H2. The only reason this film isn’t in production right now is because Dimension is focusing on the Hellraiser and Scream reboots.

Now, there’s been a lot of bad so far, but one thing that I think is positive is that Rob Zombie has abandoned the franchise and Patrick Lussier is taking over as director. His resume includes work on My Bloody Valentine 3D, Red Eye, Cursed, Scream 2 & 3, and Halloween: H20. Seeing how he worked on a Halloween film already, let’s hope he can bring the mood back. Scout Taylor Compton has already been confirmed to reprise her role as Laurie Strode, and Brad Dourif as Sherrif Lee Bracket.

We should see Halloween 3D sometime in 2012. Is Halloween 3D the REAL sign of the apocalypse? Are you eagerly awaiting this films fruition? Comment and let me know.

  1. I'm actually excited for a 3rd but not in 3D. but at least Farmer and Lussier said they will stay in the Rob Zombie universe but go back to the "John Carpenter roots" of the series and make Michael Myers scary again. One question remains…what about the mask?

  2. I Know who ever decided to write this article has very low intelligence. so ill go ahead and point out

3D is the next best thing just like colour was to black white

Rob Zombies vision is far better then any film before his

The studio's comprehension apond the whole matter is completely mind blowing , while Halloween is a established franchise H2 lost at the box office because everyone in the states was convinced and hypnotized into beleaveing paranomal activitie was the one movie to see over october .

Please understtand that you never stop learning…

  3. Well for me i thaught rob zombies halloween was extremely good. But halloween 2 i thaught was a complete mess. And for me i dont really know how i feel about halloween 3D yet because idk what the plot will be and were it pick up and leave off. So im just going to do is see it in theaters and hope for the best. One thing i am sure of is i hope they fix what rob zombie did and get back to the basics of michael myers. That includes the MASK.

  4. Yes i thought Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween was halfway decent, H2 was horrible though, Patrick Lussier would be perfect for a new film…a fresh start from Zombie's H2…I do like Rob, but he messed it up for Michael….let's face it, Michael is a simple creature, so to speak…we don't need to know everything about his past or anything like that…keep the movie closest to it's roots and don't disgrace the late Donald Pleasence and of course the master…John Carpenter for shit sakes…get back to basics and make the Halloween fans happy.

  5. And HALLOWEEN 3/3-D is officially dead in the water, since the SAW sequels writers are now onboard
