Joshua Hull Delivers Idiot Gore Press Release

Joshua Hull, director of 2010’s Beverly Lane, was kind enough to tag me in the press release for a new horror film that will begin production late summer and fall of 2011. He’s continuing his film making path with another horror film called Idiot Gore. It’s safe to say that this will be a horror-comedy. Idiot Gore will begin filming July 1st to July 3rd at the Days of the Dead Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Read the press release below to get all the intriguing details. Check out the official facebook page for Hull’s Idiot Gore here, and remember to check back at HorrorSociety for any future updates on this project.

Anyone going to be at The Days of the Dead Convention? Let us know!

Arsonist Pictures, 3 O’clock Productions, and Days of the Dead are pleased to announce that the upcoming horror film Idiot Gore will be filming at the Days of the Dead convention this upcoming July 1st through 3rd in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Idiot Gore stars Jim O’Rear (Day of the Dead, The Dead Matter), Kaylee Williams (Slices of Life), Babette Bombshell, and Shawn C. Phillips (Assault of the Sasquatch, Girls Gone Dead) and will showcase the talents of several regional actors, many former Beverly Laners.

Two key scenes will be shot on location at the Wyndham Indianapolis West over the convention weekend with a large crowd scene being filmed on Saturday, July 2nd.

“We promised to involve fans in every aspect of Idiot Gore from the ‘Create Your Own Killer’ contest to unveiling the poster art with the fans to now filming at the core of fandom itself. Horror has the best fans, and for Days of the Dead to allow the opportunity to film on location speaks about the volume of their passion for indie horror. We look forward to giving the fans a glimpse of Idiot Gore and sharing this experience with everyone in attendance,” says Hull.

Aside from unveiling the official poster and filming on location at Days of the Dead 2011, Arsonist pictures will also be sponsoring the appearance of several stars of indie horror, including Jim O’Rear, Kaylee Williams, Shawn C. Phillips, and Bryan Wilson as well as writer/director Hull, who will also be on hand all weekend.
