While driving alone through the Australia outback with his dingo, a truck driver, Patrick Quid, becomes aware that a serial killer is attacking women.
Quid suspects the driver of a green van is the murderer and is getting rid of the bodies by burying the pieces in the desert.
On his way to Perth with a load of meat, he picks up a hitchhiker, Pamela Rushworth, and tells his theory about the killer.
When Quid parks at a gas station, they see the van and Pamela decides to break in to investigate. When Pamela disappears, Patrick pursues the van while also becoming the police’s prim suspect.
While Stacy Keach is the star of this little unknown (at least by me) movie, Jamie Lee Curtis certainly lights up the screen when she does show up.
This little unknown cat-and-mouse movie is not necessarily scary but is full of suspense as Patrick Quid pursues the driver of a green van and whom he thinks is the serial killer the radio has dubbed to be a Jack The Ripper like killer.
I didn’t know how to feel when I pop this Netflix DVD into the player, but it was an entertaining cat-and-mouse thriller set along Australia’s most desolate highway.
