Horror Flick Producer Mirrors ‘Psycho’

This is getting a lot of press today, so I figured I’d share this with you all.

Out west in Arizona, there lives a man named Timothy Fattig. He is a producer for the independent horror production company, Desert Scream Productions. I did a little check online and can’t find anything about this company, except that they were casting for a film called Bring Down The Sun in mid-2009.  He was taking care of his elderly mother and started acting suspiciously during a routine welfare visit by state officials. When asked about the where-abouts of his mother, Fattig said that she was in a hospital in Tucson. The officials left, but returned to the house after finding out this information was false. After returning to the house, they made a grisly discovery.

Returning with a search warrant, police discovered skeletal remains of Fattig’s mother inside her home. They had apparently been there for months. Fattig claimed to be too distraught over his mother’s death to report her passing, so he decided to keep her decomposing remains inside the home. He was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, but if the autopsy shows she died from natural causes, this could all get bumped down. Still, this whole situation is very reminiscent of the iconic film, Psycho.
