Demon Divas and the Lanes of Damnation Review

“They might just bowl you over” (ok…lame…sorry)

I just love movies that remind me of my puberty days, late night’s watching Rhonda Shear…oh, some great nights there. I am a sucker for Shot on Video, think of titles like Woodchipper Massacre and Video Violence….that’s what Demon Divas made me feel like I was watching….and trust me, that’s not a bad thing.

Released by Happy Cloud Pictures, written and directed by Mike Watt, Demon Divas (I will shorten the title a bit) pays obvious homage to Sorority Babes at the SlimeBall Bowl-A-Rama including even having very similar characters…believe me, I’m not complaining because I am not alone in missing these types of movies. Lead by some of the BEST in Scream Queens like Brinke Stevens, Debbie Rochon, Amy Lynn Best and Lilith Stabs you can expect fun and well…more fun.

We find out that the local bowling alley, Coventry Lanes has been purchased by a group of females. Hiring some of the less than popular young ladies in town, once the snobs show up and show their true colors…things escalate to Evil. I found that this was the perfect film to sit back and just enjoy. Plenty of boobs, a Hunk and some down right fun special effects make this one to look for.

I can’t be alone in my forever love for Brinke Stevens. She can hold your attention while on screen still, plus just always looks sexy when she is “bad”. Plus when you bring together some of the hardest working women, seriously, on the Independent’s…you are destined to enjoy what is happening on screen. Someone I hadn’t seen before Sofiya Smirnova, did a great job and should be in more films (just my 2 cents).

Big props to Mike and Amy for doing what they enjoy, making movies with who they like and just having fun. I was lucky enough to speak with them and find out more about the happenings with Happy Cloud and their intentions….they are super. For me, it’s like being 16yrs old, staying up until 1am enjoying the fun, silly horror films with the bonus of naughty.
