Scream 4 writer Kevin Williamson has confirmed that he left the sequel after getting into “a big fight” with executive producer Bob Weinstein over the movie.
Rumors began to circulate last summer claiming that the franchise creator had been replaced by Scream 3‘s Ehren Kruger on the horror film. Cast member Hayden Panettiere allegedly voiced frustrations about the state of the script and Lauren Graham quit after losing screen time as Emma Roberts’s mother.
