Recently, there has been a lot of news surfacing about the third installment in the Jeepers Creepers series. III has been in talks all the way back to 2003, right after the sequel was released. Unfortunately, the film has been plagued with financial troubles and nothing other than vague ideas have been tossed around on the net. Now, we’re starting to learn a lot more about the upcoming horror film and I’ll let you know what we’ve learned so far, if the film was actually to happen.
From a variety of sources, the cast of Jeepers Creepers III will be a mix of new characters and survivors from the first two films. Ray Wise, Gina Phillips, and Marieh Delfino have been set to return as well as Jonathan Beck as The Creeper. Victor Salva has returned to write and direct the film, and was quoted in February 2011 as saying, “I am told they are very close to closing a financial deal for the third film in the trilogy.” As of right now, if this film does happen any time soon, right now it is heading towards the direct-to-dvd route. Original working titles included Jeepers Creepers III: The Creeper Walks Among Us and Jeepers Creepers III: Cathedral, with the latter title appearing to be the choice right now. But, still, it makes the plot or the more confusing.
“The film will begin with a prologue set in the Old West, giving a back-story on what The Creeper really is, who he was and how he came to be the Creeper. Flash forwarding to 2024, 23 years after the first and second films, Trish Jenner is suffering from horrible nightmares. She fears that her son will suffer the same fate as her brother Darry had. Teaming up with Jack Taggart Jr. and Sr., Trish looks to take down the Creeper for the last time.”
So, what does cathedral have anything to do with the plot? I guess we’ll have to wait and see! If this film actually goes into production, are you excited to see the finished project? Oh, and btw, the movie poster I used for this article is fan made that I found on google – not real.
I think for jeepers creepers 3 they should make it more scarier than the first with more details and background of his demonic life like how he got the church and how he got the truck an how he got to be the most scariest thing on the road. they should start the movie with a tale about him how he ruled that part of country for centuries and how he made and found his weapons. like in the beginning he was born a demonic person (not a baby) who was cursed and banned from his home town. then they should make him better and scarier weapons instead of that cheesie throwing star, they should give him a more ancient viking weapons with tribal marks on it or somthing. well hope that the movie comes out to become better than the first and second. but more like the first tho, with a mystery to it.
