It deals, in short, with Peter Holleweg, a reclusive, young man, suffering from schizophrenia and living in a draughty house besides the train tracks. He tries to live with the apparitions and voices as best as he can, although his existence is strained and troubled. One night, when a train derails and wrecks his house, he starts to find out exactly where the apparitions come from and what is the source of his schizophrenia.
