Information on Dark Castle’s ‘Apparition’

The Apparition is an upcoming horror film dealing with the supernatural. It will be distributed to theatres by Warner Bros. Pictures on September 9, 2011. I know that’s still a long time from now, but you can still get psyched for it, right? Here’s the plot. “When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly and Ben discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is an expert in the supernatural, Patrick, but even with his help they may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force.” Doesn’t sound like anything too inventive, but innovative filming or plot twists could bring the horror fans to theatres. Maybe the cast will, too.

Starring in The Apparition are Sebastian Stan (The Covenant, Black Swan), Ashley Greene (Twilight films), Tom Felton (Harry Potter films) and Julianna Guill. Julianna Guill is an upcoming scream queen, having starred in the Friday the 13th remake [pictured to the left] and the My Super Psycho Sweet 16 franchise. The Apparition is written and directed by Todd Lincoln. Being a joint creation by two studios, Dark Castle Entertainment and Alcon Entertainment, the film has a modest budget of $17,000,000. Shouldn’t be too hard to make back at the box office with the right marketing. So far there are no stills, no movie poster, and no trailer. But, I will keep you updated as this project continues forward.
