New Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark Trailer

This Memorial Day, I come bringing gifts! Or, well, a gift – a new trailer for Katie Holmes’ new horror film Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark, which will be in theatres August 26, 2011. Click here to view the trailer. Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark is directed by Troy Nixey, written by Guillermo del Toro, and is a remake of a 1973 film of the same name. It will also star Bailee Madison, Guy Pearce, Alan Dale, Jack Thompson, and Elizabeth Cotter. The plot is your generic, new creepy house dilemma, “After moving into her new home with her father and his girlfriend, Sally is pursued by ruthless creatures who want to claim her as one of their own.” Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark is rated R, which is interesting because it doesn’t look scary from the trailer.
