CHILL Synopsis: November 17, 1990, is a day of mourning for some…and for others, a lucrative opportunity.
On that date, eight university students were found murdered in the old arts building at the college. An anonymous source told police the 20-somethings were in the midst of a local role-playing game, called Chill. The name of the game is to stay alive. But for the players that November evening, few would be getting up for another round. But when a scheming student decides to profit from the tragedy and revive the whodunit game as a web series, the new players soon discover, for some, this game is still all too real…
Roger (Hellementary: An Education in Death and Hellweek) talks about the inspirations behind Chill and his experiences with the project thus far…
“I’ve always been a major fan of horror ever since I was a kid. I mean, hell… that’s honestly the main reason I decided to try the whole film thing to begin with! And so, as a die-hard horror-fanatic, I know exactly what I want to see from a slasher. CHILL hits all the marks. It has a fun and unique story that set’s it apart from other movies that fall under this genre, yet it also offers all of the things one would expect from such a flick. There is lots gore… and not PG-13 gore like we’ve been seeing in most of the major Hollywood remakes we’ve been stuck with for the last couple of years. There’s guts.. straight-up guts. I think fans will be more then pleased once this thing hits…”
“CHILL is my first leading role. I’ve had supporting parts in a couple of films now and somehow they’ve all seen the light of day, on Chiller or otherwise, and that’s really helped me work up to this point. Kyle is a lot of fun for me. I mean, carrying a movie is a lot of responsibility but this has been a great experience. A long experience… that seems to never end to be honest… but I’ve been loving every minute, no matter how stressful it’s been. I just hope the final result allows for me to have leads in other projects after this. Who knows, maybe I suck at acting and just got really lucky thus far. It wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened!”
