Whenever I do or say something stupid, my father sometimes calls me a melon head. So, I’m assuming there’s a little more to the name than just an unintelligent person being that there’s a new indie horror film coming out called The Melon Heads. The plot, as described by IMDB, is as follows: “A group of friends become aware of a violent cult that has set up residence within their small town.” However, the official Facebook page for The Melon Heads has a much longer plot description, which you can find here. The film appears to have been shot from late December to mid March, with some re-shoots taking place in May. The Melon Heads was produced by Fright Teck Pictures under the direction of Eddie Lengyel. Starring in the film are Joe Zamora, Tina Grimm, Roger Conners (Hellweek), Kelsey Zukowski (Psycho Street), and none other than Shawn C Phillips (Assault of The Sasquatch) and Kaylee Williams (Slices of Life). A trailer hasn’t been released yet, nor an actual release date, but I’ll keep my eye on this project. Until we get more from this upcoming film, check out some stills from The Melon Heads below!
The caption under this one on Facebook is hysterical: “Maybe she makes it?!”

Great to see Melons getting a little early attention! Can't wait till a proper trailer hits so we can have something to show off!
