Cameron McCasland has released another poster for his upcoming horror film, The Lashman. The film will star Stacey Dixon (Monster Cruise), Shawn C Phillips (every indie film ever recently), Kaylee Williams (Zombie Babies), David Vaughn and Jeremy Jones. The Lashman ‘follows a group of friends who go away to a backwoods cabin in Kentucky where they hear about the legend of The Lashman. They don’t take caution and heed the tale, of course, and will end up on the chopping block.’ The film is in post production and I am anxiously waiting for any news about a release date. Check out the just released, third poster for the film to the left. You can see the evolution of dance…err…evolution of Lashman posters below.
Also, recently, cast member Larry Underwood sat down with [re]searchmytrash, where he discussed his role in The Lashman, “This is Cameron’s [McCasland] first feature film and is a throwback to the 80’s slasher genre. More than anything else I think Cameron wanted to get that first film done and out of the way, and this was something he felt comfortable with and could have fun shooting. My part is a really small cameo, kind of a nod to the old man in Friday the 13th, Ralph. I was going to kind of underplay the role but Cameron really wanted me to go over the top with it, get crazy, so it was a fun part. I cackle and laugh and hop around for the 3 or 4 minutes I’m onscreen. And I get to die violently, too. Haha – oops, that’s a spoiler there, isn’t it?” [Credit: [re]searchmytrash. Not bad for the first spoiler, at least we know Mr. Underwood will not play the killer.
