Do you know who Ruby LaRocca is? Well, you should, especially because I just interviewed her (click here if you haven’t read it yet.) Ruby has starred in many horror films such as Flesh for the Beast, The Devil’s Bloody Playthings, The Lost, She Wolf Rising, Porkchop, Belated By Valentines Lover, The Super, Zombiechrist, and Zombie Babies. Last year, Ruby was involved in some sort of accident which resulted in an injury to her brain. She has made tremendous strides in her recovery, and has even resumed making convention appearances and booking new films. However, while she’s used to fleeing from slashers and zombies, now she’s running from something much scarier – hospital bills!!! aaahhh!!!
Ruby has given so much to us as a leading lady in the horror genre (and in other ways if you’ve seen some of her films with Misty Mundae). So, now is our chance to give back! Some of her friends are holding a benefit auction for Ruby in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Pieces being auctioned off will include art of various forms as well as signed posters, DVDs, and t-shirts by Ruby. The event will even have live music from Sick of It All, The Fire Still Burns, Killed by the Bull, and Hoover flags. Drinks, art, Ruby, DVDs, and live music – what else could you ask for?!
The benefit art auction for Ruby LaRocca will take place Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 9:00PM – 11:00PM at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
