Introducing actress and model, Erica Soto

I’ve interviewed a lot of attractive women while working for HorrorSociety. While they’ve all been beautiful in different ways, there was something special about Erica Soto. Usually for my interviews I pick three photos to feature in the article; Erica was the first actress where I had six or seven I wanted to use. There’s something special about her appearance, very versatile, very seductive and flirty, yet still classy. But, the bigger, more important, question is – will her beauty and bubbly personality carry her into a career as a full-fledged actress? Well, Erica has one film that just released the trailer and will be released to the public in full this fall, and another that is currently in production. So, luckily, we will get to decide for ourselves how talented she is acting-wise; but I have a hunch she won’t let us down! Until her new horror films come out, read this interview to get to know her a little better. In this interview, Erica talks about her films, her real fear of horrific events, a lot about her personality, and modeling.

Pick any character from the movie’s you’ve been in that most closely resembles your personality in real life:

Out of the characters I have played, I feel I most resemble “Tiffany Jones” from the film Mother’s Blood. She is such a fighter and she stands up for what she believes is wrong and lets it be known.

Is there anything specific that attracts you to the horror genre?

Yes, funny story. Horror movies freak me out. What better way to confront my fears than acting in them? Through my characters I compare what I would do if I was in those situations and what my character does. Who would have known that I would love it so much? Funny, huh?

Your first role in Post-Mortem was a tiny role as a victim. What was it like diving into such a dark world cinematically?

I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was so scared and nervous that I wasn’t going to look convincing that I actually freaked myself out; which worked to my advantage on playing my character.

In Mother’s Blood, you seem to have a much bigger role than your last film. The trailer was just released this week. Without breaking contracts, tell me anything you’d like about this horror film or your time on set.

Not only did I love the character I played “Tiffany Jones” but LOVED working with such amazing talent they taught me so much whether they realized it or not. I am extremely excited to see the finished film!

I see that you will also star in a film alongside Monique Dupree and Jessica Cameron. How does it feel to star in a horror film along with such established indie scream queens?

It was truly an honor! I felt amazing working along with such talent and definitely had my notebook and pen ready to take all the notes I could get. They were so helpful and extremely nice! I hope I get another opportunity to work with them on another project soon. Love you ladies!

Sniperbabes! You model for a gun calendar? What other modeling jobs have you done?

Yes, I was a Promo-Model for Sniperbabes. It was so much fun playing with guns! We sold gun calendars to pillow cases haha. I have done modeling jobs from walking runway/red carpets for “Dulce Clothing” to advertisements in South Beach, FL. Modeling is where it all began for me! I love it!

You’re also a trainer/coach for Team Beachbody. I’m 23, 5’5” and 175 pounds. Got any tips to help a slightly chubby Italian lose some weight?

Yes, I love my job as a Beachbody Coach. Not only do I get to help others achieve their health & fitness goals, I keep myself accountable to take care of my own. Sure, I suggest to eat small meals, only when you’re hungry, and make sure to intake at least 8 cups of water a day. We offer many different fitness programs like “P90X” and health supplements such as “Shakeology Meal Replacement.” Check out my website at www.beachbodycoach.com/EricaSotoR for more info.

Outside of acting, modeling and anything media based – what are your other passions? Tell me more about you.

I am a very passionate person. I believe you should put heart in everything you do or else why do it? I have a long list so get ready….First and above all I am very proud of being an American/Mexican. I love laughing, sight seeing, traveling, working out, dancing, painting, fashion, and especially learning new things. I am known for my “tough love” and silliness. I appreciate all the little things in life, am extremely blessed with such amazing opportunities, and absolutely love a challenge!

Being that I don’t think Erica Soto will be leaving the horror genre anytime soon, there are tons of ways to keep track of her and her career. Let’s start with the links, shall we? Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, FormSpring, Beach Body Coach. Click ’em and visit ’em all! I can’t wait to check out  Mother’s Blood and Post Mortem in the future and will be keeping a close eye for Erica’s roles. I also can’t wait until we get more media from another horror film that Erica will appear in. Who knows, maybe Erica will be a scream queen some day soon.

Thank you for your time, Erica.
