I usually never struggle with titles for my articles, but this one had me stumped. So, I just went the easiest title! I see a lot of promise with this upcoming horror film! Currently, Hallows’ Eve is seeking funding and donations through Kickstarter and by private investors. I stumbled upon the Hallows’ Eve page here and, of course, watched the promotional video for funding. I can honestly say I am excited and intrigued to see what else Hallows’ Eve has in store for horror fans. Here’s what I’ve learned just from watching the short video.
First and foremost, Hallows’ Eve will be using the real life, award winning Night of Terror horror attraction as the backdrop and setting of the film. The plot will be pretty simple; a “what if” type of scenario – what if you’re visiting one of these attractions on Halloween and a maniac goes on a killing spree there? Six time Emmy Award winner, Janet Zappala will star in Hallows’ Eve along side Corinne Costa and other yet-to-be-named actors. Jeremy Selenfriend (from Monsters In My Closet) is on board for special effects, with KPhat Productions as the production company. Spoiler alert: Not only does the video reveal that the serial killer is a female, but also gives a few details about one of her victims, the stereotypical slutty girl.
Writer, actor, all around cool guy, Ray Mamrak will be posting future videos and updates on the Kickstarter page as time goes on. Mr. Mamrak and the rest of the team are hoping to make Hallows’ Eve into a franchise. So, here’s your chance to get in on the original film that started it all!
