Lionsgate will bring the controversial thriller Red State to Blu-ray on October 18th. The indie horror film, which was written and directed by Kevin Smith, has had quite an unconventional release thus far. Smith believed the film would struggle in the traditional theatrical process and opted to tour with the film and hold Q & As after each screening. A distribution deal with Lionsgate was then reached in June to give the film VOD and packaged media releases.
