Jonathan Moody is one of the guys on my “watch list.” No, I don’t mean stalk his every move and then wait for the right moment to strike. I mean that he is a great director and he is doing a lot for the indie horror scene right now. Two projects that he is working on simultaneously are Scream Queen Campfire and Echo Lake; the latter of the two being the basis for this article. While a lot of work has already been completed on Echo Lake, the film is still looking for $10,000 to finish things off. What is the plot of Echo Lake, you ask? Well, here ya’ go! “10 years ago murders happened in the town of Echo Lake. For 10 years its been quiet. Now 10 years later it’s happening again. Is it the same killer or someone new imitating the killer? This town will never be the same again.” Echo Lake is written by Kelsey Zukowski and directed by Jonathan Moody. Cast to be added to this film will be none other than Jackey Hall (Dork of The Dead), Shawn C Phillips (The Lashman), and Sierra Holmes (VH1’s Scream Queens, Piranha 3DD); who will star along with Kelsey Zukowski (What They Say), Sam Qualiana (Snow Shark), Jonathan Moody, Brittany Colley, Andre Bland, Brandon Cordon, Vince Martinez, Amberly Pecsek, and Melantha Blackthorne.
