“The Little Theatre is thrilled to present our third annual Horror film presentations. This year, the films are part of the Theatre’s innovative Project 5 programming, which put the emphasis on fringe independent, art and local filmmakers.
The week kicks off at 8 pm with a zombie walk/skate led by the ROC City Roller Derby-it is open to all zombies. Participants will meet in make-up at 8 pm at Java’s, 16 Gibbs Street. Beginning at 8:30, the walk will creep its way down East Avenue and end in front of The Little Theatre—just look for the zombies on skates and join in. Anyone in make up can get $1.00 off Halloween beer in the café and $2.00 off a ticket to “Tucker and Dale VS. Evil.”
“The horror genre is truly the most indie of all genres. It’s been a very a DIY community from Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” and Rami’s “Evil Dead” to the “Blair Witch Project” and “Paranormal Activity”. Horror films were called B-movies, because the industry deemed them “tasteless” and “low-budget”. But I feel that horror films scare (no pun intended) the film industry because they don’t need to live by Hollywood’s big budget rules…and they never will.”

Our thanks to everyone who came out to support "Scumbabies" at The Little Theatre on Monday, Oct. 24th! We had a good turnout, considering the unusual night and timing of the screening. Rochester comes out for the horror oddities! The fans were great and The Little was very accommodating.
