I’m sure by now that you’ve heard of the highly anticipated thriller titled Deer Crossing. If you haven’t, then there is no better time than the present to get schooled! Written and directed by Christian Jude Grillo in association with Potent Media, Deer Crossing is a twisted tale involving, “Retired Detective Derrick Stanswood who’s called personally by a successful doctor in on a case that was shelved 8 years ago about the disappearance of Maggy Chancellor and her son Cole. Chasing after loose ends in a backwards rural town, Derrick has no idea that Maggy has actually been held captive for the past eight years by farmer Lukas Walton and has been raising Cole as his son, introducing him into a wrongful world no one should have to be a part of.” Starring in Deer Crossing will be none other than Carnival of Horrors’ host Carmella “Roxsy Tyler” Hayslett, Christopher Mann (The Wire), Laura Lynn Cottrel (The Sickness), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Doug Bradley (“Pinhead” in Hellraiser franchise), Jennifer Butler (Rubicon), and many others.

So, now that you’re anticipating the movie just as much as everyone else… Here are all the details for the wrap party! I will just put up the release that I received (Thanks to the always fantastic Roxsy Tyler!).
“Potent Media will be hosting a Beef and Beer Wrap Party for their film Deer Crossing starring Christopher Mann (HBO’s The Wire), Laura Lynn Cottrel, K.J. Linhein, Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters, The Crow), Doug Bradley (Hellraiser Series), and Carmela “Roxsy Tyler” Hayslett. Potent Media has issued an open invite to anyone who would like to attend the party. Attendees can meet the cast, bid on props used in the film, and buy Potent Media merchandise. Admission at the door is $30.00 per person all you can eat and drink for three hours at Curran’s Irish Inn, 6900 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19135 on November 20th from 3pm to 6pm.
Roxsy Tyler and the cast of Carnival of Horrors, Philadelphia’s horror hosting show, will be there to help fund raise during the event. Roxsy Tyler will be signing autographs and selling both her Carnival of Horrors DVD and t-shirts while also taking photos with the attendees. Other merchandise for sale will be Deer Crossing t-shirts and Potent Media’s previous film Booley starring Tom Detrik, Raine Brown, Carmela Hayslett, and Gina Lynn. All funds from this event will go towards funding more Potent Media films and Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors. If you’re looking to support independent film making this is a great place to start and it’s full of great people to meet.

Damn, I wish I could go. Stupid, job! But, I am excited for everyone at Potent Media. This is a great opportunity for them to have a good time, raise some money, and promote a good movie. To cap things off, here is some quotes about the hopes and ideas behind the creation of Deer Crossing.
