Guidos vs Sharks (really? yes, really…)

There was a string of shark attacks in 1916 that occurred along The Jersey Shore. Several people died. It is rumored that this is where Spielberg got the idea for Jaws. You would think a B-movie rip off of Jaws would be called Jersey Shore Shark Attack, but alas, that isn’t the case. Jersey Shore Shark Attack will be about guidos vs sharks… Seriously…

SyFy has picked up a film which will air next summer called Jersey Shore Shark Attack. The film will take place,  “during the July Fourth weekend at – where else? — the Jersey Shore, where rare swarms of sharks are converging due to illegal underwater drilling. Now the angry sharks are on a rampage, devouring residents, and leaving it up to the locals to try and save the day.” Despite the terrible SyFy plot, Jersey Shore Shark Attack does boast a remarkable cast. Tony Sirico (“The Sopranos”), Jack Scalia (“Dallas”), Joey Fatone (of N’Sync), William Atherton (Die Hard), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), and Vinny Guadagnino of “The Jersey Shore,” will appear in the film.

There will also be supporting cast members of  “Jersey Shore,” rip off characters including former reality star Melissa Molinaro as “Nooki,” Joe Russo as “Donnie,” and Daniel Booko as “Paulie.” Entertainment Weekly has the first exclusive photo from set, which I have provided below. You’ll be able to see the cannon fodder/shark bate cast that probably (hopefully…) won’t make it to the end of the movie. As much as I hate to say it, though, I probably will tune in for Jersey Shore Shark Attack next summer.
