Hack/Slash’s Cassie meets Victor Crowley in new comic book!

There is a comic book series out there that I didn’t know about, but the premise sounds pretty cool. It’s called Hack/Slash and it is a series of one-shots that follow a woman named Cassie who is a horror victim survivor. She decides to fight back against the monsters who come out at night along with Vlad, who is a monster himself – a gentle-giant. The series is penned by artist Tim Seeley and published by Image Comics. The comic book is released frequently and this year Cassie and Vlad encounter a very familiar face.

This year’s comic book will be titled “Hatchet/Slash” instead of Hack/Slash because Cassie and Vlad will go head to head with none other than Victor Crowley of the Hatchet franchise! In an interview with Ain’t It Cool news, Tim Seeley states that the comic book is canon and takes place between Hatchet II and the upcoming Hatchet III. The plot, taken from Image Cool’s website is summarized as: “In the Louisiana Bayou, the murderous ghost of Victor Crowley is maiming tourists in creatively horrible ways. But in his blind murderous rampage, he may have created something worse than himself! Now, Cassie and Vlad are back in New Orleans, and it won’t be long before baseball bat meets hatchet and deformed mutant meets deformed mutant!”

Hatchet/Slash and Hack/Slash comics are available at comic book stores and book stores, as well as Amazon.com. However, you can use this website to locate a store near you that carries it. It is available for purchase TODAY!
