I know HorrorSociety is a little late on covering this film, but here it goes anyway! By now, Abolition is getting ready for a release to home entertainment. But I’m sure one of the movie posters, pictured to the left, is still ruffling some feathers. Oh well. Horror and science fiction films are always pushing boundaries, right?

Abolition is a supernatural thriller that is written, produced, and directed by Mike Klassen. It will star Andrew Roth, Elissa Dowling, Reggie Bannister, and Caroline Williams. Mr. Roth is featured in the movie poster in a compromising position obviously resembling the death of Jesus Christ. I’ve tried to find some plot details for Abolition, but all I can provide right now is a quote from Mr. Roth in our recent interview, “[I] also shot with SKG Films; Abolition [is] directed by Mike Klassen. I play an unassuming Jacob, The Antichrist, who will bring the end of days.” Any other questions you have about the plot can probably be answered by watching the trailer on Youtube here.

As I mentioned above, Abolition is gearing for a home media release. It was picked up for distribution by R Squared after receiving rave reviews at the Fantasia Film Festival in August 2011.
