A lawsuit has been brewing for a while between a scorned actress and the resume giant Imdb.com. The lawsuit states that Imdb posted the actress’ age without her consent which has now caused her to lose job offers. She’s actually 40, but was playing 23 to 33 roles. The literally $1,000,000 suit was set to be dismissed unless the actress revealed her name. Finally “Jane Doe” has been identified and Junie Hoang has a surprisingly number of indie horror credits.
Junie Hoang has appeared in over 90 films and television shows. Her horror credits include: Street Tales of Terror (2004), Voodoo Dolly (2006), The Color of Blood (2006), Domain of the Damned (2007), 666 The Beast (2007), Z: A Zombie Musical (2007), Gingerdead Man 2 (2008), Spirits Among Us (2009), and Gingerdead Man 3 (2011).
I’m not sure what this lawsuit is hoping to accomplish. It’s not like Miss Hoang was an A-list actress who is really suffering and losing her mansion due to the loss of roles. But, I do support women in horror. And I do support anyone who stands up for what they believe in a la fighting age-ism. So, good luck Junie, but I still don’t know what will be accomplished from this…
