It’s been 12 years since the Japanese cult classic Battle Royal has been released to the world and to celebrate it’s first official North American release in March Dedfest is proud to present this film on the big screen for the first time in Edmonton.

Set in the future, the Japanese government captures a class of ninth-grade students and forces them to kill each other under the revolutionary “Battle Royale” act. It’s class bully against class nerd, best friend against best friend, and even boyfriend against girlfriend. There can only be one winner.
