I’ve just caught wind of a new science fiction movie that is currently in development called Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh, which is written and directed by Rick Chandler of “The Boston Film Family,” is in the very early stages and is still seeking investors to get the project off the ground. Production is anticipating a shooting date of late Spring 2013.

Gilgamesh tells the story of “A military expedition in Siberia gone wrong. The existence of humanity is in peril as Inanna, Sumerian goddess of lust and war has summoned a giant meteor to destroy the planet, after being accidentally set free from her ancient prison. Her captor, and the planet’s guardian, Gilgamesh must embark on an epic quest to save the human race from Inanna’s wickedness. With the government failing, the economy plummeting, and anarchy running wild, a true tale of good and evil shall be told through the eyes of our savior.”

Rumored cast and crew members include Seregon O’Dassy, Jacklyn Sullivan, and Kate Bernard. There are even some promo pictures like the one pictured to the left being featured on Rick Chandler’s Facebook page.

Looks pretty interesting! I will keep an eye on this project and all future developments. Can’t wait to see the supernatural aspects kick in more.
