Peter Dukes’ The Beast

I do enjoy a good werewolf film, especially because I feel like werewolves are the ugly stepchild of the horror genre that don’t get their rightful recognition. However, in most cases lately werewolf films seem to be all “aarrghhh and grrrr!” and lack a lot of important things like depth and subplot. So that is why I enjoyed The Beast by Peter Dukes. It takes a general concept, a staple of horror if you will, and throws layers on it. How would you feel if your child was infected and would become a werewolf every full moon? Would you have the heart to put them down?
