The Nightmare Ends on Halloween II

This popped up in my live feed on Facebook, and luckily, this short film is available for viewing in its entirety on www.imdb.com. I figured this was just your run of the mill fan film. Well, it is a fan film, but far from average! And it was made in New Jersey and for an estimated $300! *There is an entry before this film, but I wasn’t able to find it.

The Nightmare Ends on Halloween II picks up where the last film left off, apparently. Freddy is being brought to some sort of Hellish justice with Pinhead as the judge and Michael, Jason, and Leatherface as the jury. And this is far from quite discussions and a wooden gavel. This is nonstop action and violence between horror’s most notorious villains!

I’m not sure Pinhead was the best choice for the “judge” in Hell. I mean, Satan would be the best choice, obviously, but I get the road that director Chris R. Notarile was taking. You couldn’t really have Michael Myers as a “judge” because he never talks, unless you count the last 30 seconds of an alternate ending from Rob Zombie’s H2. Speaking on seriousness makes me remember to mention that The Nightmare Ends on Halloween II is actually pretty funny. My two favorite lines from the script, written also by Chris R. Notarile, are “You want to go another round, short bus?” in regards to Jason and “All I wanted you to do was kill a bunch of shit kids, but no! You’d rather sit there and stare at that stupid pumpkin!” in regards to Michael.

The Nightmare Ends on Halloween II doesn’t have a lot of gore or any sort of nudity, which is probably the reason why it is available for free on www.imdb.com. However, the film does have pretty good acting performances  from all the guys and the special effects make-up jobs on them are pretty awesome too! The action was well cut together and the overall production value was impressive. A very solid effort and I wish it was longer!

Go check it out, guys and ghouls!
