Are you the next ultimate zombie warrior? Or, well…the first warrior… I am excited to announce the first 5K run to feature obstacles and zombies. Runners will literally be eliminated from winning by 15 “chaser” zombies. I don’t think I can really do it any justice explaining it myself so I will just lift everything from the Ultimate Zombie Warrior [website]. Once you read everything, head over to the [registration page] and get…registered.
Concept:
Ultimate Zombie Warrior is an obstacle ridden, zombie infested 5K run. While you may have heard of many Zombie 5k runs recently, we offer a level of competition that is unmatched. The Ultimate Zombie Warrior course is much more than a leisurely 5k run with easy obstacles and lethargic zombies. We have at least 15 obstacles that will test your endurance, strength, and stamina. These obstacles are inspired by military training manuals…. The course will have numerous aggressive Zombies throughout that are out to infect the runners. Ultimate Zombie Warrior also proudly features “Chaser Zombies” that are unleashed after each wave begins and will chase runners through the end of the course, also attempting to infect them. This takes the Ultimate Zombie Warrior experience to the next level.

How It Works:
Runners start the wave with three flags, similar to flag football. Throughout the 5K, zombies will be trying to take the flags (infect) the runners. If the runner crosses the finish line with at least one flag, they survived the zombie apocalypse. To Become the “Ultimate Zombie Warrior, you must be the first to finish your wave with at least on flag intact. If a runner loses all of his or her flags, they are considered dead and are not able to become the coveted Ultimate Zombie Warrior as they failed to survive the zombie apocalypse.
How To Win The Whole Thing:
A runner wins his or her wave by being the first of a wave to cross the finish live alive (with at least one flag). The winner is then entered into the finalist wave. The finalist wave is to be held at 5:30PM the same night. The runner will not only be competing against 15 of the toughest runners but you will have keep 16 of the toughest Chaser Zombies a good distance behind you. If you become the Ultimate Zombie Warrior, you are automatically entered into next year’s event for free. You also will be given your Ultimate Zombie Warrior title award and prizes at the awards ceremony.
