BOWLING FOR BOOBIES 2012

Here at Horror Society we love Allison Kyler, and Brooke Lewis, and bowling, and boobies… Ok, we love it all! The Horror Starlets bowling team is competing for the fourth time in Bowling For Boobies, a special charity event from The Busted Foundation which raises donations for women in the Los Angeles area who are battling breast cancer. Being that the disease and the women fighting it is a charity near and dear to my heart, I donated to Gabby West of “Scream Queens” and Chillerama last year, but it seems that some players have been swapped in and out. I am surely going to donate again this year. Read the press release below and help spread the word. And if you can, throw one of your favorite starlets a couple bucks. I know it sounds cliché, but every little bit helps. Go get ’em, girls! [Click here] to donate to The Horror Starlets.

‘THE HORROR STARLETS’ TO BOWL FOR BOOBIES

Hollywood Horror Actresses Unite to Raise Money for Women Battling Breast Cancer

Demonstrating that their interests lay not only in cinematic hack and slash, a bevy of hot horror actresses have united for the fourth year running for a good cause: to support local Los Angeles women battling breast cancer, via their participation with The Busted Foundation (a non-profit charity which provides monetary assistance to women who are experiencing financial challenges as the result of fighting and living with the deadly disease).

Organized by Dreadcentral.com writer Sean Decker, ‘The Horror Starlets’ 2012 team is comprised of the returning Ashlynn Yennie (of The Human Centipede films), Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever), Allison Kyler (Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2), Brooke Lewis (Slime City Massacre), Sarah Butler (I Spit On Your Grave) and Carlee Baker (The Woman). Joining them are Natalie Victoria (DeadHeads), Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Barbara Nedeljakova (of Eli Roth’s Hostel films).

In addition to their goal of raising breast cancer awareness, the team is set to participate in the 8th Annual Bowling For Boobies®, which tales place on October 21st in Los Angeles at Jillian’s Hi-Life at Universal City Walk with a red carpet, followed by an evening of bowling, raffles and giveaways, with the proceeds to directly benefit women struggling with breast cancer. Joining the ‘The Horror Starlets’ will be The Go-Go’s Jane Wiedlin and Thomas Jane of Reno 911, among other celebrities.

Says Sean Decker of his work with ‘The Horror Starlets’ and Busted Foundation, “For the last four years I’ve been involved directly with Bowling For Boobies and it’s been a vastly rewarding experience, as the money we raise goes directly to women struggling with breast cancer. As a team we are reaching out to the horror community and beyond this year, and ask people to come together in support of local Los Angeles women fighting this disease.”
