Synopsis
A well established criminal organization, the Mi Sing based in Chicago’s Chinatown district, is entering into the new year with great success and promising new ventures but an uneasy truce between them and the Wu Shin gang is tested by a series of missing persons incidents and an attack from a terrifying outside entity. The ‘White Fan’ (Ron Fitzgerald) of the Mi Sing must investigate the sudden disappearance of one of their own by using his powers of Hyper-sensory Perception HSP.

Shot in Chicago’s Chinatown area in Feb of this year, ‘The Year of the Ox’ is a neon-noir thriller with a horror / sci fi twist. This 10 minute short film is a peek into the dark underworld of the Mi Sing organization as they deal with other gangs, missing persons and a new entity.
