Pot Zombies 2… This is going to be very “to each their own.” I was very skeptical about the announcement of Pot Zombies 2. The first entry in the series was very…rough. However, based off the teaser alone, I will say that the production quality of Pot Zombies 2 is leaps and bounds better than the first film. Hey, I can easily be lured in by Pot Zombies 2: More Pot, Better Production! Fortunately for Justin Powers and crew, Pot Zombies 2 will be just as successful as the first entry in the franchise (if not more) because there is a huge market for it to fall into. People love zombies, and young men and women across America (and overseas) love pot.
The synopsis for Pot Zombies 2 is still pretty similar to the first movie: “Radioactive weed turns people into zombies with the munchies for human flesh!” I would normally say that I can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for myself and other viewers, but the film also totes the title More Pot, Less Plot… So who knows! Justin Powers returns as director for the feature, with Chris Laster also returning as writer. The film will feature appearances from Greg Ingram (Machete), Karen Zombora (Vivid), Abel Berry (Kodie), Ashlie Rhey (Dead Country), Billy Blair (Machete), Cody Pottkotter (“Dallas”), Frederic Doss (Humans vs Zombies), Lorraine Eubank (“Lone Star”), and Joe Grisaffi (Psychic Experiment).
Pot Zombies 2 will premiere on October 13, 2012 at the Blood Bath Film Fest in Dallas, Texas.
