As part of this years SXSW midnight movie linuep, the debut of the vampire film Kiss of the Damned looks to evoke films of the 1960’s and 70’s, and judging by the new poster released today by distributor, Magnet Releasing, it does in spades.
Horror fans of European vampire cinema of the 60’s and 70’s from directors like Jean Rollin and Jess Franco with a little Hammer thrown in will definitely enjoy the gothic style of the poster for Kiss of the Damned. Writer/director Xan Cassavetes hopes her film will be reminiscent of those erotic and sexy vampire films, but going her own way.
