2005 – Jason Evers, who starred as “Dr. William Cortner,”in “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die,” under the name of Herb Evers (if I was in that movie, I would change my name too), passed away at the age of 83. He also co-starred in “Basket Case 2″ and “The Illustrated Man.”

2003 – Christiane Schmidtmer, who appeared in the film “The Giant Spider Invasion,” passed away at the age of 63.

1996 – Italian maestro director Lucio Fulci, whose numerous films include “Zombie,” “Gates of Hell” and “New York Ripper,” passed away at the age of 68.

1943 – Stephen Vincent Benet, author of the story “The Devil and Daniel Webster,” passed away at the age of 44.
