Killer Reality premieres August 31st on Lifetime.

KillerRealityLadies, this one’s for you! Although, I probably will be tuning in for this too since I love anything to do with the beautiful Aubrey O’Day.

While it would appear that Killer Reality is the sequel to Killer Movie, I’m guessing director Jeff Fisher had other ideas. I was hoping this movie would be a slightly comedic slasher flick, it looks like the whole thing is going to end up as a mild thriller. I can tell there has been a genre change because of one thing: it will be premiering on Lifetime on August 31, 2013.

We all know the general format of the movies premiered on Lifetime Channel. They take a somewhat decent horror plot, take out all the gore and nudity, and add angst and melodrama. So, while it does look like several cast members of the reality show are killed off, I’d make a strong bet that none of their deaths will be very suspenseful or gory.

In Killer Reality, “Hayley, a producer on the hit reality show LOVE EVER AFTER, unwillingly falls for The Bachelor on this marriage elimination series. Things become complicated very quickly, especially when one of the female contestants turns up dead. That’s when work becomes downright murder…” Pretty much it’s “The Bachelor” meets Prom Night.

Killer Reality is written by Ken Brisbois, who – along with Jeff Fisher – has lots of credits working productions of very famous reality shows. Cast members will include Aubrey O’Day, Annie Ilonzeh, Parker Young, Brandon W. Jones, Lola Glaudini, Bernard Curry, Ina-Alice Kopp, Rebekah Graf, Aketza Lopez, and Ricardo Molina.
