No Resurrection Spell Here. ‘Charmed’ Reboot Cancelled.

Power of the witches rise, course unseen across the skies, come to us who call you near, come to us and settle here… Wait, never mind!

University of Southern California alumni, former “TV Guide” and “Entertainment Weekly” columnist, and current “TV Line” super-star Michael Ausiello is quickly becoming one of the go to guys for pop culture blogging. Ausiello’s specialty comes in the form of posting spoilers, most of which are accurately dropped to him by moles inside all the corners of Hollywood. His one column on “TV Line,” Ask Ausiello, is that outlet where he can share spoilers for all of the most popular upcoming television shows.

His last installment of Ask Ausiello, posted on 08/12/14, focused on shows ranging from “Glee” to “The Killing.” One reader, though, asked if the “Charmed” reboot that was proposed in October 2013 is still in the pipeline, and his answer was very simple:

“No! It’s officially dead! Celebrate!”

So, as of right now, it looks like all signs point to an end for The Halliwell Line. And that’s ok with me! As a series long fan, it’s better to leave the show as it was and not give it a television remake.

“Charmed” aired on the WB/CW 11 from 1998 to 2006 with Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan, Shannen Doherty, and Brian Krause as lead cast-members. The show focused on three sister witches who battled demons and other forms of evil while trying to find love and start a family.
