Meosha Bean is one of my favorite YouTubers. I did a little write up on her when I first started working for HorrorSociety.com way back in 2011. She may not have the best video quality, but her short horror films show a passion for filmmaking and an intense interest in our favorite genre. Currently she appears to be more focused on music videos and web-documentaries, but if you go back to her earlier work between 2011 and 2013 you’ll find a dozen or more horror films.
One such film is The Spirit Within, a nine minute horror short she wrote, directed and starred in. It’s got a house-sitter watching scary movies alone at night with a creepy Mortal Combat looking statue in the room. Strange things begin happening during her viewing of the Prom Night remake, and you can guess where things go from there!
