Jay Huguley Joins “The Walking Dead” in a Recurring Role! Meet ‘David’ This Sunday!

e1a51e8430a9387bf589faddd8b1868aEver since Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Carol Peletier, Michonne, Rosita Espinosa and the rest of their group of survivors made it to the walled-in city of Alexandria, viewers of the hit AMC series “The Walking Dead” have been treated to a slew of fresh faced characters. All-be it, most of them have been used in a cannon fodder capacity, whether they’re standing in the background or being massacred by Wolves. During the season six opener on October 11, things didn’t go quite as planned when 2,000 plus walkers nudged a semi-truck off a cliff and freed themselves from the rock quarry that was holding them back for months. This, unfortunately, put The Grimes Group and the Alexandrians with a pair of balls into a tail spin, forcing them to enact a very specific and timed plan of action during what was supposed to be a dry one.

It was during these sequences that viewers were introduced to the character of David, one of the Alexandrians who we will get to know in a larger capacity during the next few weeks. David was also seen helping to construct the bounce-off wall that would help propel the army of walkers in the opposite direction of Alexandria. These appearances in ‘First Time Again’ were out of order due to the premiere jumping back and forth in time through a series of flashbacks. While David was only partially introduced in the episode, it has been confirmed that he will be heavily featured in episode 3, ‘Thank You,’ which will air on AMC this Sunday, October 25. This feature will become one of many other appearances on “The Walking Dead,” as Jay Huguley has joined the show in a frequent, recurring role.

Jay Huguley is an award winning actor who originally hails from New Jersey. #JerseyPride! Having previously acted in Vampire Vixens from Venus, Huguley made a career for himself by landing other recurring roles in popular television shows like “Alias,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Ravenswood,” “Treme” and “The Young and The Restless.” Cinema viewers may recognize him as the sheriff in the 3x Oscar winning film, 12 Years A Slave (2013). Horror fans, specifically, can look for him in the upcoming feature Abattoir with Lin Shaye and Jessica Lowndes.

Welcome to the team, Jay!
