New Jason Blum Movie, Fifteen, To Premiere Tonight on Periscope!
Look out Hulu and Netflix, there’s a new movie hosting platform that’s about to blow you out of the water with a little help from famed horror producer Jason Blum and up-and-coming director Gavin Michael Booth!
Just in time for Halloween, Blum and Booth will be debuting a new film titled Fifteen exclusively on video streaming app Periscope. Periscope, used in tandem with Twitter, is a free app available for download on all smartphones; just look for it in the app store! Details on the plot of Fifteen are being kept tightly under wraps, but sources are billing the film as a live horror experience.
Rachel Dodes, head of movie partnerships at Twitter, told Variety, “Periscope gives anyone the ability to share a moment as it’s happening, and Blumhouse is innovating by giving their audience a new way to experience a film as an interactive, live performance, accessible to anyone in the world.”
Fifteen will debut on the social media platform at 7:00PM PT/10:00PM ET. Make sure to hashtag #FifteenOnPeriscope while watching!
Gavin Michael Booth recently released his feature film The Scarehouse to rave reviews and directed the music video for Third Eye Blind’s latest single, “Get Me Out of Here.” Blum, of course, is known for producing hit horror films like Insidious, Paranormal Activity, The Purge and The Visit. Fifteen was also developed with Ryan Turek.
